The word for the day is Procrastination. I’m currently procrastinating planting various flowers and plants in the greenhouse. I’m also procrastinating finishing the weeding in the front of the house. It’s been raining and more have popped up where we’ve already done some work. ughh
ALSO, my new keyboard is driving me nuts. It’s half the size of my last one-very small, and is very difficult to get used to. SO, if you notice any typos that I missed, know that a lot of furious backspacing and correcting got me to this state. Resignation. heh
Saturday night fun! Or not! The older I get, the more I appreciate a nice quiet evening in, snacking and sipping coffee. Bonus- I can get up early the next day without feeling like I need jumper cables to get me going.
Remember yesterday’s post about our male turkey sitting on goose eggs? It gets better. They are now sitting on them together. LOL Notice how his beard is draped across her back! And just look at the love in his eyes! We have such weird animals.
Jive turkey apparently has a new hobby. Sitting on eggs. I kid you not. A mama goose briefly got off of her nest for some water and food, and Jive moved right on in and sat on the eggs. Mama turkey was rather upset. lol Jive turkey. My husband shot a short video of it
We decided to tackle getting our front yard and the landscaping/flowers in shape. My husband bought 6 bags of mulch, and we were short just about 6 bags. lol It was quite the undertaking. First we had to pull weeds, and then spread the mulch. We have some gorgeous tulips blooming, and other pretty flowers that I’m not sure what they are. The previous owner planted them. We have a TON of peonies (my favorite flower) getting ready to bloom. We planted these and I’m so happy to see them taking off. I love to cut flowers and bring them into the house, and peonies are perfect for that. They also have a marvelous fragrance. I’ll post pictures when we’re done, but right now I’m in bad need of a bubble bath and coffee. Peace
